Back to Blogging

Marie Blog, Top

Welcome to my new and improved blog where I hope to have lots of fun with readers with regular posts about books, flash giveaways, excerpts, bonus content and other goodies for those who subscribe to the blog! Why am I going back to blogging? Well, truthfully, Facebook is making it increasingly more difficult for me to get my news to the people who have signed up to receive it. I don’t like being so reliant upon an outside vendor to keep in touch with my readers. So I’m bringing it home to my own website and my own blog. If you sign up to receive updates, you’ll get a quick email any time I post something new so you don’t miss any giveaways or chances to meet up in your local area. This will take the middle man, AKA Facebook, out of our relationship! 🙂 But have no fear, I’m not abandoning Facebook where we have so much fun. I’m just supplementing what I’m doing there and hoping to keep in better touch with readers than I’ve been able to do there. Thanks for joining me here! Look forward to lots of fun. xoxo Marie

  • Love you Marie! Wish I could see you again but health & finances prevent it. Know I’m always thinking about you and will be a forever fan & friend. Sending our love to you, your staff and wonderful family. When you hear the song ‘Happy’ think of me. Your good witch of the West Coast.

    • We will miss you Glynnda! Hope you’re feeling better soon.

      • Have loved reading all of your books Marie. My Favs are of course the Gansett Island series, the Fatal Series, Green Mpuntain series. Have loved all of your singles too and the Treading water series. So sorry, loved the story line of the Quantum series, but the BDSM was way TMI for me, so won’t continue with that series. Plus way too many foul actions and words. Not my cup of tea. I LOVE you, your personality shines and I love that in you. So keep on writing, shining, laughing and conjuring up all those wonderful characters for all of us to read.

  • Kim

I’m looking forward to reading your blog although I don’t know how you find the time on top of all the awesome books you write!

    • Kim, I’ll be doing the same sort of stuff I’ve been doing on Facebook so there’s time for that kind of fun! 🙂 You guys are my “water cooler” buddies since I work alone.

  • Hi, Marie. Closely watching your new experiment, and love your comment about not loving (or relying on) a platform (Facebook) you have no control over. Excellent point!

    • I still love so much about Facebook, but I’m tired of being so reliant upon FB. My recent release week got really screwed up by their shenanigans, so lesson learned. I used to love blogging, so it won’t be hard to get back into it.

  • Patt

    Hello
When will you return to the Bay Area for a visit?

    • Patti, no immediate plans to get back there. I was there in 2014, and I do love San Fran so much. I’m sure I’ll get back there before too long. Maybe after the romance writer’s conference in San Diego next year.

      • Patt

Wonderful we are an amazing resource for story lines…Silicon Valley, Napa wine region, the sweet town of Half Moon Bay, Monterey area and so much more!
I enjoy ALL your books so please consider us…
        Patt

  • Ellen

Thank you for the updated blog approach. Those of us who do not “do” Facebook (yes, there are some of us who just do not want to go there) are so excited to be more in the know!

    • Ellen, nice to have you hear! Glad the blog works better for you. 🙂

    • Patt

Ellen fb is not the Mecca everyone assumes I want to live my life not Facebook it!!
      Patt

  • Barbara Wilhelm

I love, love, love your books and can’t get enough of them. Sam and Nick are my absolute favorite couple and I hope their story never ends. Just promise you will keep the books coming. Thank you.

    • Thank you Barbara! Yes, much more to come for the Fatal Series.

  • Great! Just signed up for your blog! I know what you mean about FB. So many posts are either right there or show up hours/days later! So frustrating.

    • Thanks Kathleen! Hope the blog works better for all of us!

  • Aunt Bee

See you on the blog side.
May the FORCE be with you.

Sorry for the “groaner”, it is Monday after all.

    Aunt Bee

    • Ha! Too funny! Glad to see you here!

  • Love all of your books but Gansett Island books are my favorite and always will be!

    • Thanks Susan! Working on the new Gansett book now. 🙂

  • Lisa J

Yeah for having a blog!! I feel like I miss so much on Facebook if I don’t check it everyday. Love your writing and cannot wait for more!

    • Thanks of for reading Lisa! Hope you enjoy the blog!

  • Barbara Rae Robinson

I don’t like Facebook and the way they limit what we see. I rarely see your posts. A blog at least gets out the information to people who request it. I have a writer friend who makes good money without ever going anywhere near Facebook or Twitter. She has an email signup on her website and interacts with her readers there and in emails. Bookbub has been the one way she boosts her sales and it’s worked for her. Good luck with your new blog format, Marie.

    • Thanks Barbara! Facebook has been amazing for me over the years. it’s just gotten “less so” lately. That doesn’t mean I don’t still love some aspects of FB, because I do. I’d never have the career I do without it, so I give FB a lot of credit. I’m just frustrated with trying to get over all their hurdles.

  • Janiec

I tried to sign up to receive updates, but keep getting an error message.

  • I received an error as well.

  • Vivian Barry

Never have followed a blog before so hopefully this will be a good learning experience for me! Love most of your books, especially the Gansett Island and green Mountain Series. Read the Quantum books and liked the story but not sure about the erotic side of it. But I very much look forward to getting to know you all better.

    • Thanks Vivian! Glad you enjoy the books! Thanks for following the blog.

  • Ronda Brewer

Marie, this is a great idea love it. I will be on here as often as i can to keep up with you. I just wish yo could make your way to Pueblo Colorado or at least close, bu t i know you are so busy that it may not happen. so i will talk to you this way or on face book. so love your books an can’t wait till others are release.

    • Thanks Ronda! I’d love to get out to see ALL my readers, but I can’t do that and write books, too, unfortunately. Hopefully I’ll get near your neck of the woods someday! 🙂

  • helensibbritt

Love all your books, you are the only author I purchase as it is released. Since I started following you on fb, your post make me relate to you even more and I will definitely follow your blog.

    • Thank you so much Tracy! Appreciate that!

  • Marie White Mason

This is my first experience with a blog, so I am not sure what to do! But I really enjoyed reading your posts Marie, think I will like it much better than Facebook, not so much other stuff to scroll through to get to your information! As always, loved your latest book, Sam & Nick are the best! Thank you for being you!

    • Thanks Marie! Glad you like the blog and the new novella!

  • Jodi Lattanzio

This is great…I’m strolling around to see what’s going on! 🙂

  • Kathy Dougherty

I agree with everyone this is great! Facebook is getting frustrating.

  • Lesley Bell

I’m also new to blogging & enjoying the discussions. Looking forward to reading Paul’s story – Gansett Island. Also enjoyed the Quantum books.

  • Donna Kizer Ervin

Just finished reading your book True North. I really enjoyed it. I really cannot tell you which of your series I love the best because they all so different. Can’t wait to see what awaits Sam and Nick along with the Gansett Island families and the Abbott family. Great reading.

  • Lou Ann Mohler

Good Morning, Hope everyone has a great hump day 🙂
