Marie Interviews Jack’s House Author J.T. Geissinger
I’m so happy to welcome ab-fab author J.T. Geissinger to the blog today. J.T. is one of our inaugural authors at Jack’s House Publishing, and we absolutely LOVE her two amazing books, Wicked Beautiful and Wicked Sexy. These books have all the things I love best in contemporary romance—strong, determined heroines, over-the-top sexy alpha heroes, twisty, bendy, intelligently crafted plots and smoking hot sex. You guys are going to LOVE these books as much as I did! J.T. is here today to tell us about her books and her life!
Marie: Thanks for being here, J.T., and welcome to Jack’s House Publishing! To get things started, tell us about your Wicked Games books!
J.T.: Hi Marie, and thanks for having me! The Wicked Games series was SO much fun to write, mainly because the heroines are anything but average, and they’re paired up with men who are driven, stubborn and used to getting their own way. All of them are larger-than-life characters, and the supporting cast is filled with hilarious, scene-stealing misfits who really deserve their own books.
Victoria from Wicked Beautiful is a powerhouse, unapologetically fierce, yet with a tender underbelly she ruthlessly protects. She’s a survivor, an underprivileged ugly duckling who by sheer force of will transformed herself into a very successful swan. Watching her grapple with the opposing desires of revenge and lust for Parker Maxwell, the hero, is fantastic. Their interactions are explosive.
And Tabby, from Wicked Sexy, is absolutely one-of-a-kind. She’s a genius computer hacker who lives completely by her own rules. I’ve never written a character so much smarter than I am! Educating myself about things like quantum physics and cyber warfare was a fun challenge. I had to give her someone equally as smart to spar with, and Connor Hughes fit the bill. He’s Alpha with a capital A, and Tabby’s polar opposite. When they met in Wicked Beautiful (Tabby is Victoria’s assistant) the sexual tension was so off the charts I had to write a book for them. And it’s hot.
Marie: (Fanning self) WICKED HOT! Both books were SO much fun to read! I loved them, and I’m so excited to be publishing them under the Jack’s House imprint. I loved that both your heroines were strong and self-sufficient. In our society, strong women are often thought of as bitches while strong men are revered. Victoria and Tabby blow the lid off that misconception! Which one of them is the most like you as the author?
J.T.: There are bits and pieces of me in both of them, but Victoria is actually a lot like my mother! I even borrowed some of my mother’s famous lines for things Victoria says, such as her motto, “After me, you come first.” My mom is 88 years old and totally fierce. I come from a family of very strong, independent women, and that’s reflected in the heroines I write.
Marie: OMG, I love her motto! I’m trying to imagine telling my kids, who are 17 and 20, that after me, you come first! LOL! I don’t think that would go over very well. 😉 You have a great story about how you met your husband. Will you share that with us?
J.T.: I get asked quite often why I chose to write romance, and it’s because I fell in love at first sight. Just wham! I was having brunch with my girlfriends at a restaurant in Malibu, and I looked up to find this really cute guy staring at me. He was sitting with some of his friends across the restaurant. We kept staring at each other until it was time to go, and then he ran out to the valet and asked me out on a date. I moved in with him two weeks later, and we’ve been married for sixteen years. So I totally believe in love at first sight, happily-ever-afters, all that stuff, because it happened to me!
Marie: Sigh. I love that! I believe in love at first sight, too, although love wasn’t the first thought I had when I saw my future husband for the first time—drinking beer out of a pitcher like it was a mug. LOL! I always tell my kids it’s a good thing I didn’t judge him too harshly for that first impression. Now you see why I write romance! 😉 Tell us a little about what you like to do when you’re not writing romance novels!
J.T.: Well, in my “other” life, I’m a florist! My husband and I have owned a floral and event design company in L.A. for fifteen years. Believe it or not, we work together every day, and it’s actually fun. We’re the in-house florist at the Ritz-Carlton, and do everything from hotel lobbies to movie premieres. Right now we’re working on the design for the Spotlight Awards at Walt Disney Concert Hall. When I’m not writing or designing flowers, I love to read. I’m a total bookaholic. And I’m not a genre snob, either. I read everything from erotica to autobiographies.
Marie: That sounds like the coolest job ever, and you get to work with your husband! How fun! I can’t believe you run a business AND write such fabulous books, too. You’re an over-achiever! We’re delighted to be working with you at Jack’s House and can’t wait to get Wicked Beautiful and Wicked Sexy out to readers in July! Thanks for being here today!
J.T.: Thanks Marie! I’m thrilled to be part of Jack’s House!

A ruthless businesswoman and the playboy who dumped her long ago find themselves embroiled in a high stakes game of love, lies and revenge.
Life coach and best-selling author Victoria Price has it all: a successful career, fabulous friends, a fantastic penthouse in Manhattan. What she doesn’t have—and doesn’t want—is a husband. Fifteen years ago her high school flame broke her heart so badly she swore she’d never love again. Now she makes millions teaching other women how to be just like her: a ruthless bitch.
Drop-dead sexy restaurant tycoon and infamous playboy Parker Maxwell has only three rules for the women he dates: no questions about his past, no expectations for the future and no spending the night. When he meets Victoria, however, he’s willing to break his own rules if it means sating the explosive desire she arouses in him. What he doesn’t know is that the alluring Victoria Price used to be the mousy Isabel Diaz, the girl he deflowered and dumped long ago.
Presented with a perfect opportunity for revenge, Victoria decides the game is on. But when her connection with Parker proves more than just skin deep, she has to make a choice—continue with her plan for payback, or risk her career, her reputation and her heart by taking a second chance on love?
Wicked Sexy, book 2 in the Wicked Games series

So when Connor decides she’s the only one who can help him catch a cyber criminal intent on taking down one of his clients, she tells him exactly where he can stick it.
But when the cyber criminal turns out to be the Hannibal Lecter of computer crime—and a dark presence from Tabby’s past—Tabby and Connor are drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse. They quickly find themselves fighting not only their common enemy, but also an explosive desire that threatens to consume them.
When the stakes are this high and the game this deadly, will falling in love be the most dangerous move of all?
