ff17558e-2724-4056-8d5b-cb219afec1d7Just over a year after the debut of the initial Quantum Trilogy and two months after the release of book 4, Rapturous, we’re changing up the branding for the series. Why? It’s all about those pornographic shoulders… Yes, you read that right. Facebook refused to allow me to promote my sexy shoulders, flagging the image as offensive, which made for a difficult slog in promoting Rapturous.

I’d like to write books for each of the Quantum Production Company principals, but it’s becoming harder all the time to promote sexy romances with partially clad bodies on the covers. We can rail against the injustice of it all, or we can accept the reality and regroup. I did some of both!

One of the best parts of being an independent publisher is the ability to “pivot” when something isn’t working. After a frustrating release week for Rapturous, I went back to my team and said we’ve got to fix this before the next book, Ravenous, releases later this year. We took a close look at what some of the top authors of erotic romance are doing with their covers and came away feeling more confident about my decision to take the people off the Quantum covers.

This was not an easy decision because I absolutely LOVE the first four covers and paid quite a lot of money for the photo shoot for the three Flynn and Natalie covers. But the first rule of running a business is if it’s not working, FIX it. Thankfully, I was able to do that relatively quickly thanks to my awesome assistant, Julie Cupp, and Ashley Lopez, one half of our dynamic identical twin Designing Women team.

Julie and I worked for weeks with Ashley to determine the right look for the Quantum Series going forward, and I think we’ve got it. The new covers give a great sense of what the reader can expect to find in the books while remaining with the original black, white and red color palette that I loved so much on the original covers. I’m thrilled with these new covers, and I hope readers will like them, too.NewQuantum

We plan to use the amazing images from the Flynn and Natalie photo shoot on the new Quantum website that will be coming soon. Watch for more information about the release of Ravenous, Quantum book 5, later this year.

Before saying goodbye to the old covers, here are TWO chances for you to win signed copies of the now collector’s edition Quantum books with the old covers, series swag and a $25 Amazon gift card.

VirtuousNew200If you haven’t yet started the Quantum Series, this would be a great time with book 1, Virtuous, on sale for 99 cents in the US and 1.99 in the UK, Canada and Australia for a little while longer. Here’s what you can expect from Virtuous:

He’s a sexual dominant. She’s sworn off sex. There’s no way they can make a relationship work—or can they?

After surviving a traumatic event at age fifteen and the ensuing estrangement from her family, Natalie Bryant has worked for years to reinvent herself into the woman she is today—a happy teacher fresh out of college and enjoying her first winter in New York City with her faithful dog, Fluff, by her side. Natalie isn’t expecting her life to change completely during a routine stroll through Greenwich Village on a blustery January day. But when Fluff breaks loose and charges into a park, Natalie gives chase and crashes into her destiny. Only after Fluff bites and draws blood from the man who accidentally knocked Natalie down does she realize Fluff has bitten the biggest movie star in the world.

Natalie captivates Flynn Godfrey from the first moment their eyes meet while she is lying on the ground and he’s fighting off her ferocious little beast of a dog. The only thing Flynn knows for certain is if he lets Natalie get away, he’ll regret it for the rest of his life. After only a short time in her presence, Flynn is prepared to change who he is to be what she needs. He knows he’s in big trouble when she says she won’t sleep with him and he doesn’t care if it means he gets to keep her in his life. But can he turn his back on the lifestyle that has defined him? Can he deny the desires that drive him to give Natalie the introduction to love and romance she so deserves? And most of all, can he keep his truth hidden from her long enough to have forever with her?

Join Flynn and Natalie as their story unfolds in three full-length books released three weeks in a row: VIRTUOUS, VALOROUS and VICTORIOUS. From New York to Los Angeles, from Hollywood to Las Vegas, Flynn and Natalie’s whirlwind love affair has it all—romance, passion, steamy hot sex, relentless paparazzi and a murder that could be their undoing.

If you hate dirty-talking heroes who put it all on the line for the women they love, who leave no desire unfulfilled, who will do anything it takes to protect what’s theirs…If elements of BDSM make you queasy, if smoking hot sex isn’t your thing, if cliffhangers make you rage, if you hate first-person points of view from the heroine AND the hero… this series is NOT for you! You’ve been warned…
